My only problem linking to your blog is your content. Sure you have some very nice pictures, but you also have some gay men pictures in there too. Sorry but I just don’t like that. If you posted just redhead women I would link to your profile without a second thought.

This blog is worksafe, so his reasoning surprised me. I do try to include all redheads here, and sure people may exclude certain images from their own blogs. But why hesitate to post an image you like just because it came from a blog that tries to be inclusive of some diversity?  I don’t want to be judgemental, but I’m having difficulty right now. I’d really like to hear comments on this.

What a beautiful photoset! Unfortunately there will always be those that are closed-minded. Thankfully though, he did not go out of his way to be rude or disrespectful (at least, that’s what you have portrayed); he simply stated that he does not agree with having gay couples on his blog/linking to a blog that supports them. Again, it is an unfortunate thing, but as long as he was respectful, I don’t see too much harm done. 

We have to remember that saying we are open-minded can really be a danger, considering we never truly realize how far the extent of our mind goes until we are tested. I think this is a perfectly good example. Would I prefer that everyone was accepting of same gender couples? Of course. But everyone has the right to their opinion, and as long as people aren’t going out of their way to be hateful or negative, I can respect that. :)
